Besteht der Gro\u00dfteil der t\u00e4glichen Ern\u00e4hrung aus stark verarbeiteten, hochkalorischen und salzreichen Lebensmitteln, so ist das Risiko f\u00fcr Bluthochdruck deutlich erh\u00f6ht. Die medizinischen Leitlinien empfehlen, unter anderem, solche Ern\u00e4hrungsgewohnheiten nach der Diagnose bzw. w\u00e4hrend der Behandlung unbedingt zu \u00e4ndern und z. B. auf eine <strong>mediterrane Ern\u00e4hrung<\/strong> oder die daraus entwickelte DASH-Di\u00e4t (Dietary Approach to Stop Hypertension) umzusteigen.<\/p>\n<div id=\"Salzreduktion und Bedeutung von Kalium\">\n<h3>Salzreduktion und Bedeutung von Kalium<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<p>30 bis 50 Prozent der Menschen mit Bluthochdruck sind salzsensitiv. Das bedeutet, dass ihr Blutdruck steigt, je h\u00f6her die zugef\u00fchrte Menge an Salz (Natriumchlorid) ist. Ein vollst\u00e4ndiger Verzicht auf Salz ist jedoch nicht m\u00f6glich, denn die Elektrolyte Natrium und Chlorid erf\u00fcllen wichtige Funktionen in unserem K\u00f6rper. Sie regulieren z. B. den Wasserhaushalt und werden f\u00fcr die Signalweiterleitung in Muskeln und Nerven ben\u00f6tigt. Bei salzsensitivem Bluthochdruck ist es deshalb wichtig, die <strong>Salzmenge zu begrenzen<\/strong>.
